You can usually find her working hard at Happy Ewe or at home snuggling with one of her four kitties before she's off to play with more fiber... somewhere! Here are Misty's class descriptions:
In this introductory course to spinning on a wheel, we will begin by discussing the different types of wheels available on the market today and how to decide which wheel is best for you. By the end of class, you will have started building your foundations of spinning, and most importantly, you will be spinning a continuous 'single'.
In Part 1 you learned how to spin. In this class we're going to refine our spinning a bit to make it more consistent and even by getting rid of the 'slubs' and thin spots. We'll also begin working on the foundations of 'plying'. We finish off class by turning all your hard work into your first skein of 2-ply yarn!
No previous spinning experience is required. Wheels for use in class will be available on a first come/first serve basis. All fiber in class is provided.
